It’s been quite a year.

Our lives have changed, and our community has changed, too. Evanston has seen a number of Latinx organizations blossom, each focused on the diverse needs of the Latinx community. We are so proud to have been a part of that change, but now it’s time to move on. With a heavy heart, the Latino Resources Board of Directors has decided to disband the organization.

Since 2011, Latino Resources has held numerous events that brought legislators, first responders, and school representatives together with the Latinx community that they serve. Together we listened to students and parents share their experiences and put into action solutions that everyone could embrace. Every gathering sparked a new initiative, from voter registration to community art, helping Evanston grow stronger every step of the way.

Latino Resources has provided financial support and career advancement for over 26 up-and-coming Latinx leaders. We are proud to have been a footnote in every one of their incredible stories.

Thank you to our many donors for making it possible to award more than $30,000 in scholarships to support higher education access in our community.

Thank you to the City of Evanston for being a steadfast partner to Latino Resources in building an increasingly inclusive community here in Evanston and the greater Northern Cook County region.

Thank you to our founders and to everyone who has served on our board over the years. You made this organization what it was and paved the way for the next generation of Latinx leaders. For this we will always be grateful.

Thank you.
